Smile Makeover Photos in Boynton Beach

The cases below are about people just like you. Read their stories and see the amazing visible changes accomplished with today’s cosmetic dentistry. What we can’t show you in photos (all taken by Dr. Barr) are the changes in their LIVES. The most rewarding part of doing this for us is to hear from our patients whose lives benefited in profound ways.

Case #1 – Severe Erosion of Teeth Reversed with Full Mouth Reconstruction

It’s never too late to restore your smile! This is my dad. His treatment was recently completed (January 2013). He had gastric reflux (stomach acid) for many years, and it destroyed his teeth via acid erosion. Most of the enamel was gone. His teeth had become so hollowed out by the erosion, they were like eggshells, and they were breaking apart. He didn’t like to smile anymore. He admitted that he wouldn’t even look at his own teeth in the mirror.

This was a very challenging case. His lower front teeth were biting into his gum tissues behind his upper teeth. We had to reconstruct his entire bite and make it look great, too.

I’ve never before seen my dad smile like he does today! He’s 72 years old with the best smile he’s ever had!

The following is a series of before and after photos of my dad’s smile…

Case #3 – Stained Teeth Renewed with Porcelain Veneers and Crowns

Toni was a patient of many years and had contemplated rejuvenating her smile for a long time. Finally, the time was right, and she decided to go ahead with it. Toni’s front teeth had multiple large fillings that had discolored over time. The teeth in the back also had broken down over the years. Restoring this smile involved bridges in the back and crowns in the front. Incredible!

Case #4 – Full Mouth Reconstruction with Crowns and Partial Denture

“Grandma Ward” came to see us all the way from Georgia. Her granddaughter, Sandy, was our hygienist at the time. Oftentimes due to severe wear, missing, and drifted teeth, a combination of treatments is necessary to restore a smile. Grandma Ward presented with all the above. Her bite had shifted significantly. Her teeth were severely worn. Not only was this an aesthetic challenge, it was a functional challenge. Grandma Ward told us she was getting a new smile instead of a new car.

Our goal was a combination of cosmetic enhancement and improving her ability to chew comfortably. This was an advanced case requiring the application of multiple disciplines and a team approach. A periodontist (gum specialist) was needed to create an ideal result.

This is a dramatic case that truly demonstrates the impact of a smile makeover. One of Grandma Ward’s friends asked if she had a facelift! The pictures say it all! And, by the way… She got the new car anyway!

Case #5 – Full Smile Makeover with Porcelain Crowns

Bob was bothered by the dark, chipped, and worn appearance of his teeth. He admitted that he didn’t like to smile much. Getting him to smile naturally for the “before” photos was a real challenge. Bob was used to hiding his teeth. He was single and decided it was time to have a smile that reflected his outgoing and adventurous personality. The solution to Bob’s smile challenge was a combination of veneers and crowns. It didn’t take long for others to notice Bob’s smile after his makeover. He’s now engaged to be married!

Case #6 – Smile Makeover with Crowns and Partial Denture

Michelle presented with a combination of challenges. She is a snowbird from Canada, and when we first saw her, she was due to return home for the summer. Michelle decided to wait on treatment until she returned the following winter. She had a lot of old dentistry that was failing. She had several old crowns that were worn all the way through. Her teeth were uneven, crooked, had spaces, and were a variety of colors. Ultimately, her smile aged her beyond her years and certainly did not fit Michelle’s vibrant personality.

Her smile solution was a combination of crowns and a precision partial denture. With a complete reconstruction like this, Michelle could choose any color she wanted. The final result suits her facial features harmoniously. Notice how her overall appearance is softer and relaxed. Stunning!

Case #7 – Smile Rejuvenation with a Combination of Porcelain Crowns and Veneers

Lise had thought about a smile makeover for a long time. Her existing dentistry was functionally acceptable, but it had been done over many years and was a “patch-work quilt.” Her teeth were not uniform in shape or color. Lise’s smile solution included a combination of veneers and crowns on all her upper and lower teeth. An amazing result!
