Dental Implants in Boynton Beach
Dental Implants are the state-of-the-art way to replace missing teeth and are about the closest thing to what nature created as we can get. They can be used to replace a single tooth or a full mouth of teeth.
Dental Implants can be used to support a single crown/tooth, a bridge replacing multiple teeth, or even a denture.
The advantage of using Dental Implants instead of traditional bridges is the “innocent bystander” teeth don’t have to be crowned (to support the bridge). Or, even if the adjacent teeth need to be crowned for other reasons, they aren’t all tied together in one piece like a traditional “fixed” bridge. If they’re tied together, and one tooth fails, it takes the rest of the teeth with it. With Dental Implants, each tooth can function independently.
Case #1 is where two natural teeth were crowned, and a single Dental Implant was placed in the space in between.
Case #2 is an example of replacing missing teeth without involving the “innocent bystanders.” All cases on this website were performed and photographed by our dental implants dentist Dr. Barr.
What is “All on Four” or “All on Six” dental implants?
You may have heard these terms in advertising. Basically, it’s a way to use four to six implants to support a permanently affixed bridge. When there are no remaining natural teeth in an arch, the “All on Four/Six” will give you back your smile with teeth that don’t come out. They stay put full-time. In some cases, we can place new teeth, attached to your implants, within one day.
Do you already have a denture that just won’t stay put?
Imagine how great it would feel if your denture didn’t budge. Think about the confidence you’d have if you didn’t have to worry about your denture loosening up at the worst possible time. Visualize your life without the burden of having to constantly THINK about your dentures. Ask us how Dental Implants can be added to your existing denture for a rock-solid smile!
Denture patients who have trouble with loose dentures can experience a dramatic improvement in comfort and function by having some Implants placed to support the denture. The denture will still be removable. But, it will snap in very securely. No more loose dentures!
Dental Implant Team
Implant Dentistry involves a professional team that typically includes a general dentist and a periodontist or oral surgeon. Dental Implants are a titanium cylinder gently and precisely placed into the jawbone. After healing (and sometimes during healing), a tooth, bridge, or denture can be attached.
Most patients report little to no discomfort after implant surgery. Dr. Barr works closely with dental implant surgeons in Boynton Beach and Palm Beach County to create natural results with new teeth that look and feel like they belong there.
